Spellcaster & Illuminate Winner Announcement!

Thanks to everyone who entered my joint giveaway with Aimee Agresti! We got some incredibly thoughtful and insightful questions—we had a tough time picking out a question for Emma and a question for Illuminate‘s heroine, Haven, to answer. You guys rock!

And now, without further ado, here’s the winning question (and Emma’s answer!), asked by DARSHANA CHANDER.

Why is it, that even after knowing that your love is doomed, you still fought for it? Why not give up?

Giving up was never an option. I’ll never give up, no matter how tempting it can be to hide under the covers and eat cookies. And I love cookies. So much has happened to me that was out of my control, but I had faith that this was something I could beat. It had to be. Plus, I knew I could count on Brendan to have my back. He’s good like that.   —Emma
